Apotias is an extremely dangerous, parasitic microbe that can hitch a ride in the pollen of Platinum Orchids. It does nothing to the plants in question but when inhaled by a Drakonos, Drakantos or Treloss it begins to root in their body’s system and will eventually sprout as a visceral bouquet of pure white fungal growth that appears like a soft, fuzzy mold that covers the skin with occasional large vertical stipe growths that terminate in very thin and very wide pileus. The underside of the cap will produce and release spores attempting to propagate regularly until the body is burned by a Fire Squad or fully decomposes.
Fear and Beliefs
The Drakonos scientists have come to believe that Apotias was dormant in Yahti’s fine soil for an unknown duration before the war between Hikari and Yami disturbed it from some resting place just under the surface. Such a conclusion of course raises many more questions than it answers and a subset of differing theories are scattered across many bright minds: Some entity visited Yahti long before Hikari or Yami made it their home. A final act of punishment by Graskoroth was to send so twisted construction of Astheneia to their home. Something from another star system struck Yahti at some point, perhaps recently, perhaps tens of millennia ago, before life existed even on the Axiom.
