When the blizzards hit hardest against the Khol Grass canvas tents of the Yewdi tribes in Strana Gigantov this is a common tale of comfort told to children as families huddle close to share the warmth of their Serdtse Ochag.
Pastukh Guides You Home
A young Yewdi went out in the mid winter days to pick Pepper Pots. Her Heart Hearth leaving a wide trail in the fresh snow. The Pepper Pots were farther out than she remembered however, and before she new it a great blizzard climbed the glacial walls and rampaged over her. It wiped out the trail she had left herself, and hid the Day Star, her only other guide.
She curled up into a ball as she had been taught, melting the snow around her to make a haven free of water and ice. It was not enough though and the blizzard beat a cold deep into her bones the like she had never felt. Just as her Serdtse Ochag was on the cusp of giving out she saw it. A warm orange haze struggled against the overwhelming gray before two piercing red lights shone brightly through. Pastukh Pecci set his great Hearth Eyes on he little Yewdi and her strength was restored like a blazing flame. By those eyes she was guided home to her tribe, and by their power the blizzard could not fight her warmth.
So remember children. In the coldest snow fall Pastukh may find your lonesome soul and bring it back. Just remember to curl up like Melan’kaya and hold fast to your Heart Hearth that its warmth might be a beacon to his warm eyes.
