Technically a top secret location of the Crystal Guard. In reality the Chembet Crystal Guard is similar to its parent organization: desiccated remains of a once monolithic entity. Before ways of war were brought to scale by governing bodies, ancient warriors, or leaders rather, were trained in the Crystal Champion Stances. A Martial Art devised by Ardo Kroon which aims to teach fundamental sword and Kinsi techniques pivotal in combatting True Monsters.
The original location remains deep in the heart of the Axel Mountain Range accessible only via the Twilight Desert. It is preserved, but unused. Plenty claim to have found the place and the forbidden knowledge capable of teaching it, but not even the current Crystal Guard can decipher the few texts that remain, written in a language yet to be translated. Likely proto-Zoherian, and easily some of the oldest tomes known to be intact on the continent.
The Chembet Crystal Champions itself appears to have been a simplistic campus. The original huts trainees would have stayed in marked only by foundations, and a large central stone dais where lessons were likely given, and bouts would have been performed/fought is cracked and weathered by millennia of mountain weather. The hike to reach the place is long, hidden and dangerous. A guide is required to find one’s way across the thin ledges, slopes and cliffs that require traversal before the old site is in view.
