It would be generous to call Lehitrism a “school” of thought. It is however a relatively new philosophy among Attovians which appears to reinterpret historical records through a more nuanced lens. The founder of Lehitrism is a Drakonos man by the name of Haruto Sato and he summarizes his ideas below.

The Crux of Lehitrism - Haruto Sato

Lehitrism is not a belief that the past is fraudulent by nature. It is also not a belief that those who wrote likely falsehoods were con artists, rubes, or of poor character. No, it acknowledges the nuance of historical writers. It allows for their legitimacy to be coupled with their examination. A story does not need to be true to be useful. But the wrong kind of Soul can turn a useful story into a vortex of belief. Lehitrism believes whole heartedly in the etiological value of the many stories of our powerful and sorrowful history. It also questions the reality of events such as Hormus’ Sundering.

Yes the outcome of such stories appear to be reflected in the Material World around us and to many that is more than enough conclusive proof of their happening as it was written. Could it not have been that instead, these stories were built of fragments. Some such fragments were the realities of the worlds and cultures surrounding the authors, others were borrowed stories, fables, poems and traditions stitched together by an artisanal hand producing a compelling tapestry. Lehitrism looks at the tapestry and proclaims its beauty, but it is not afraid to examine the seams.

Following

Haruto has begun to draw a small following. Primarily these individuals come from the burgeoning Elvish Philosophy movement and the academic minded Zyclestians. In total there are maybe only a few dozen individuals who might call themselves true Lehitrists but they are a tight knit network who are fond of sharing findings and theories about the historicity of their world’s past.

Haruto himself travels broadly and teaches his philosophy to any who will listen or allow him to speak publicly. Notable groups like The House of Poets in Waterhelm and the Visare Court have hosted him to listen and debate his ideology which has lead to further notoriety for Lehitrism across the continent.
