The 1st of every Tri-hundred-turns is when God-the-first is considered to shift from being “asleep” to prominence. Each of the Soul-bearers believes they were created by God-the-first and are thus most potent and blessed during the month of Steel. So each celebrates the new Tri-hundred-turn according to their traditions.

The-government-of-steel mandates celebratory worship be held in Steel-churches or at Mechanical Shrines during the first week of the month of Steel. Special Prayer-plates are distributed by Fingers-of-the-first-god to any who have not memorized the proper prose.
