The Warmonger does not yearn for war they instead see its inevitability. When the storm clouds break over the horizon you take the Sika indoors, ensure all children and old folk are accounted for, before you face the weathers wrath. So too does a Warmonger prepare. You seek connections everywhere, favorable or otherwise, if it is aid or allyship it is useful to you. Power does not come from raw might, or knives between shoulder blades. Power comes from the web you weave across the continent.

Stats

Your maximum HP is 10+Constitution
Your base damage is d10

Starting Moves

Foresight

When you set out on a job or mission in which you have time to prepare choose two preparedness benefits:

  • Honed steel: +1d6 to attacks made with your weapons
  • Oiled and Polished: +1 armor
  • There’s a map for that: No need to search for or way find to your destination if you otherwise would need to.
  • I know a guy: Choose an item you already have in your inventory and add 1d4 more. (This item should be something you could have a supplier for, talk with your GM about which item makes sense)
  • Warpaint: You make yourself look fearsome, +1 ongoing to parley until this mission ends or your prep no longer makes sense.

Tug at the Threads

When you seek to use an ally who is part of your web roll+CHA on a 10+ take both, on a 7-9 choose 1:

  • You get exactly what you want
  • You don’t owe them a favor in return

I Can Use This

When you go to add something to your inventory, if you can manage to make that item worn in a reasonable manner (as opposed to packed) you may mark its load as 0.

Forge a Contract

When you attempt to forge a contract with another entity roll+CHA on a 10+ your contract is successful and you set the terms. Though it is a favorable contract on your end something must attract the other signee, the GM will have the last say as to what is a deal breaker here. On a 7-9 the contract does not particularly favor either party but both see potential for benefit. On a 6- the contract favors the other party, the GM will tell you how and you can refuse to accept, but you are likely to spark some dissent.

Gear

Your Load is 12+STR

  • Shortsword
  • Dungeon rations (5 uses)
  • Shield (+1 armor when equipped)

Bonds

Fill in the name of one of your companions in at least one:
____ could be of use to me, we should forge a contract.
____ has fought beside me bravely, I can trust them.
____ is already part of my web.

Advanced Moves

When you gain a level from 2-5, choose from these moves. You also add a new Working to your Recorded Workings at Competency 0 each level

Fearsome Deal Broker

When you Tug at the Threads or Forge a Contract you may use STR instead of CHA
