Interview with a Forge Master

Either way, here’s the skinny: Interview with a Forge Master is a special episode series in the World Hammer podcast in which I interview and discuss world building with a world builder! They will pick one of their settings to discuss and a piece of their writing to be read aloud at the episodes start. On this page you can find the starter questions that everyone who is interviewed has in preparation, but everything else comes from my understanding of your setting and community questions based off your supplied setting blurb!

So here’s what I need from you if you are the next Forge Master, please send these to me as soon as you can from the date I sent you this link! (Send this either via email to embersofthetreeoftime@gmail.com or DM them to me on discord)

1. How do you like to be referred to online?
   • Username, pronouns and whatever else makes sense!
2. Give us a brief blurb about your world/setting starting with its name
   • This will be used to give people an idea for asking community questions and should be a first priority
3. How did you get started world building and this project specifically?
4. What is one piece of work you would love read aloud/voice acted with more work than World Hammer? This piece can be an old work, something from World Hammer, or something new.^[I will give this piece much more attention than a typical world hammer reading, so the more time you give me to record and edit it the better it will be!]

How long can the piece I want read aloud be?

Answer

Up to 5000 words with some wiggle room of course! If its much longer than that just talk to me about it and we’ll see if we can make it work. It of course matters how much work needs to go into the piece voice acting wise and effects wise.

How will the interview work?

Answer

The preferred method would be active speaking over discord. However, to facilitate more world builders I would be willing to work with anyone not comfortable sharing their voice, so prewritten questions and answers read by me would also be fine.

How do I participate?

Answer discord! From there you can look at the #world-hammer-info channel and join the queue to be interviewed in the #wh-interview-queue channel
