The Frihet Lake sits on the border of the Kingdom of Helva, Zoher and most of all the Shen Dynasty. The Frihet River and Suru River feed the lake which slowly outlets to the Ocean via the Jianbo River. Frihet Lake is the largest single body of fresh water on the Attovian continent and the only one that hosts significant boat traffic. The Lake’s position makes it a prime avenue for water based trade routes between Helva, the Shen Dynasty, Zoher and the Zyclester Empire. Many goods that find their way to the Jalar Confederation also travel through Frihet Lake before finishing the journey over land.
Lakeside Cities
The largest city on Frihet Lake’s borders is Frihet City the until recently Shen Dynasty capital. Several other small hamlets sit along the Lake’s shores such as Turbid Shores and Teardim.
Ecology
The most abundant fish here is the Striped Levvy which is an excellent fish for eating and supports several large fishing ventures here on the lake such as the Bolin Fan Fishery.
Many Rolling Slugs are found on the bottom along with a wide assortment of other bottom feeding invertebrates, but nowhere are these creatures specifically so abundant.
Occasionally local systems are disrupted thanks to True Monsters working their way up through the Frihet River and terrorizing the wildlife and locals, but the increase in population has pushed defense and security budgets forward meaning these problems are usually dealt with swiftly by mercenaries if not by the local guards.
