Notes from Master Tadgh Leabharchoimeád Éabha's notebook.

A common project by many Sochraide has been the recreation of the legendary Rugadhian Oil. We have well documented first hand accounts of its appearance, burn rate, and general heat levels from many of the Bunús before their eventual dying out. Black as night, highly reflective, and with a viscous consistency far exceeding any other similar substance. The fusing of Meyda with oil sourced from organics such as animal fat or seeds has yielded only disappointing results. If only we could return to the once saturated Deep Home and reclaim even a cup of the stuff we might learn more about its origins.

Rugadhian Oil is a legendary substance once used by the Master Cruthmen of the ancient subterranean Rugadhian society Deep Home. It was found in pockets of stone, and was a driving force in the over expansion causing the Desolation of Deep Home. It is legendary both for its current missing status as well as its rather remarkable properties. Supposedly easier to control than modern charcoal methods of forging, and lasting substantially longer in relation to volume. Specifics about the metrics were never given, so speculation is all the modern day theorizers have at their disposal.
