It is not just for joy here on this continent that we worship through sacrifice. In Shamayim we shall be granted rewards in equal part to that which we have given up here in this material place. Those who live lives beholden to their creeds and honorable in the Creator’s eyes are warranted places unimaginable in the home of he who first gave himself for our benefit.
According to the Church of Hormus when a Bereaved dies they go one of two places: Sheol or Shamayim. It is believed that those who lived a life of adequate sacrifice go straight to Shamayim taken directly by Hormus himself. The Book of Nefiqaddis states that those who participate in The Tear becoming Sundered Priests and who do not forsake their vow of sacrifice till their death bead are such individuals and in fact will be given greater allotments of holy land in the afterlife thanks to their mirroring of Hormus own selfless act. Similarly Head Priests are believed to have earned entire kingdoms of land in Shamayim with the auxiliary benefit of regaining their bodies full autonomy.
If one dies not having lived a life of worthy sacrifice they are taken to Sheol. Because Hormus did not notice their unworthy death they must be ferried their by Bara Levatel. Sheol functions like a second life in which depending on your behavior and actions as a Bereaved you will relive portions of your life in which you failed to live sacrificially until that day when you make the correct decisions and can then be taken from Sheol to your rightful home in Shamayim by Hormus’ hand.
Though it is not a major point of outward discussion by the church it is written in The Book of Nefiqaddis that those who die and are not Bereaved are consumed by Bara Levatel in their entirety. Specifically that their Soul cannot be seen at all by Hormus and therefore has no protection from the deep hunger Bara Levatel must sate.
