The tract of land known as The Logalands is presided over in all its danger and infestation by these people. Almost two thousand years ago a family group of Elves who rebelled against the Cundo in Ambar. It was a quiet rebellion that involved more of a soft, disappearance than a raucous, violent uprising. The first Naed Pad left in the dead of night led by Naruhel Naed Pad and journeyed to the Logalands believing the Ambar Tree would aid them in its settlement and caretaking.
Oral Tradition of the Naed Pad
…and Nurahel gathered her family in the night at the outskirts of the Ambar city meaning to vanish before the Cundo in Ambar could discover them. The Naed Pad waited at the edge of the Logalands hesitant as they recalled the tales of lurking monsters and treacherous land. But Nurahel brought forth a long cord bound from fibers of the Ambar Tree’s leaves. The blood line took the cord and each tied a portion around their waist and bound together by fibers beget of the Ambar Tree they waded into the Logalands.
The following morning the Naed Pad’s disappearance left many in a panic and the Cundo in Ambar sent the Ta man Arpata to search for the deserting party. Tracked to the Logaland’s edge the Ta man Arpata halted, returning to question how they might proceed. The Cundo in Ambar were enraged at the cowardice displayed and many Ta man Arpata died searching heedlessly through the marshy waters of our now homeland.
Modern Day
A proper way of life has since been carved out of the Logalands by the Naed Pad family. Proper homes deep within its twisting and changing confines. Their marsh huts, built from the natural materials of the wetlands merge and change with the surrounding world and the Naed Pad wake every morning in a different familiar world. Living in the Logalands long enough normally causes Soul Memory Hallucinations and other issues which permeate the Soul’s typical boundaries to the Extramaterial World. The Naed Pad appear to have no such long term reaction and remain mentally grounded. The Naed Pad say this is thanks to their Tether to the Ambar Tree being more pure than that of other Elven bloodlines, but no proper proof or research has revealed anything fundamentally different in that regard. To the outer world their continued thriving in the Logaland’s deadly interior remains a mystery.
