The Church of Hormus leaves burial up to the individual Bereaved. Many decide to be laid to rest through the traditions or ceremonies of their heritage, however, if they so desire the Church of Hormus provides Vimenuhri. Vimenuhri comprises burning the body in stages using a specialized Chomkar Meyda-circle and a number of Meyda-marks on respective portions of the body to burned.
The Ceremony
The ceremony proceeds like so, the body is laid on the Meyda-circle and the body is prepared by a Sundered Priest, most commonly a Leg. Preparation involves drawing loops separating body parts from one another visually, and connecting these loops to simple, drawn Meyda-marks on the same part via additional lines. Once the Sundered Priest finishes with preparation the first of seven rites begins. Each rite focuses on one of the seven parts of Hormus’ Sundering in the order seen below and begins with the Sundered Priest speaking the associated recitation. When the recitation is finished the Sundered Priest powers the Circle and the just Marked body part immediately alights in flame and burns within several minutes. The Sundered Priest in charge of the ceremony waits for the current body part to become ash before beginning to mark the next part of the body which remains untouched by heat or flame.

Leg
Leg Recitation
The balance of a Bereaved lies here. Might balance never be needed again where standing might be done whether on soil or on mindful matters. Where you are final arbiter balance is absolute.
Torso
Torso Recitation
The core of vitality has not failed its duty in this death. We are destined to break, to fall, to die and in so doing carry with us to your home the vitality we sacrificed in life. Rewarded are the fallen Bereaved for they may stand twice as tall.
Hand
Hand Recitation
When this Bereaved protected these hands brought you glory. They shall no longer find those in need of protecting under the direct hand which formed the very world we stand on. It rests like loving armor over us here and now, but takes this hand and guides our Bereaved between worlds.
Arm
Arm Recitation
Power needed, power used and power sacrificed once fueled by this arm are no longer required. Such is Shamayim, a haven and home even to the wielder of sword and killer of foe.
Eye
Eye Recitation
No violence, no harm. This eye’s substance and purpose now focus upon nothing but observing the glory you guide it to. Envious are our own eyes for the brilliance this Bereaved now witnesses in your home.
Head
Head Recitation
What knowledge will this head newly hold? Sacrifice all the old, for it must mean nothing to the carver of mountains. May this Bereaved approach like a newborn: Free of mind.
Disposal
When the ceremony completes and the body has burned to ash in totality the ashes are placed in a Klivot and then given to the family or closest kin to do with as they wish.
