Sondivar is dubbed by many Onsiirians as the final bastion of civilization in the west. It stands in quiet, dry plains with the edge of the Woods of the Waste visible roughly a mile away. The strange town appears like a pointillism painting from altitude, but when in its core streets a light coating of black dust covers everything and cannot be escaped. The ground around this area is rich in Coal and one only has to dig a couple dozen feet beneath the surface to begin extracting it in large quantities.

Buildings/Layout
Sondivar looks as though it were one town made of many small villages as several tight building clumps dot an area some three miles in diameter. In the relative center lies the town’s heart where its singular Tavern and couple of hole in the wall pubs reside, and spiraling out at varying distances are little satellite mining groups. Each clustered set of structures surrounds the entrance and refuse pile for a Coal Mine and usually gives itself a name.

Akbar Sadeghi (Owner) - Biaban
A tall, lean Biaban man with long faded tattoos of his heritage. His exceedingly long eyelashes have been curled up and clipped to the front of his curly hair forming a comical roll of hair that looks almost like curtains gently parted on either side of his forehead.
Leila Sadeghi (Akbar’s Wife) - Tzelian
A short, stout woman with a complexion on the darker side for Tzelian’s, significantly darker than her husband’s blueish tan.

Town Quirks
Miner’s Delicacy
No where are the squirming Komyen Grubs more prevalent than the coal enriched earth of Sondivar, though considered inedible thanks to their unique texture and flavor by most Attovians the miners in Sondivar find them to be an enriching snack. Though more than an acquired taste, the high protein content of the strange worm-like creatures makes them invaluable to workers in the coal mines who need it to replenish sore muscles and improve stamina for coal extraction. They are usually cooked by pushing a stick or poker through the length of the creature before roasting over a fire or in an oven. Some enjoy the delicacy with no additions but many prefer to add salt and other spices to make its raw earthy notes more palatable.
