According to Giravian Tribal Religion Armandemer is the son of Pedaket goddess of the Tide and Sivan Rek god of the Reef. After a series of Cunning Deeds Armandemer was granted dominion over time and later fate by Serok Ast god of Peace. Much of the actions surrounding the belief structure of the Girav gel living in the Giravian Archipelago seems to contradict the idea of fate being ordained by a higher being, but if inquired about this inconsistency a Girav gel is likely to just dismiss the question. The Girav gel live very comfortably within contradiction considering they believe themselves a people of purpose driven war who’s creator is the god of Peace. It is not strange to them to mourn the loss of a Giravian’s passing believing they were taken before their purpose in one moment, and praise Armandemer for purpose fulfilled the next.
In part this duality can be attributed to the Girav gel’s view of godly action. Good and negative actions not being described or even considered as such constructs. Instead things normally viewed through such lenses are granted the moniker of a fitting benevolent or malevolent deity. “My brother died to a stray spear. Neyar took him from his purpose.”
“Our seaweed crop yielded twofold this bloom! Sivan gave our reef fertile blessings.”
