Tornilinn perches precariously above and across the Nopea River, several massive stone bridges with thick wooden supports span the canyon in several places and nowhere in the city is one free from the sound of rushing rapids five hundred feet below. Here in Tornilinn many buildings are built low and squat to spread out their weight and lower their center of mass, like stretched boxes with roofs at acute angles. Revolting against this and piercing the air in perfect ratio to the canyon’s descent stands a tower roughly five hundred feet tall known as the Tower of Knowledge.
