Every Girav gel child of the Giravian Archipelago knows well when traveling the islands to carefully step over the long, winding tails of the Ejderej that cover the island in a scaly net. It is not so they avoid some kind of harm but so as to avoid hurting or disrespecting the ambassadors of the Bin av Kirin.

The Ejderej has a stubby snout, four legs and a short body that hugs the ground closely. The most notable feature of all at first glance is their alarmingly long tail the end of which is most often only discovered if tracked and traced some distance. No one has properly gathered Ejderej measurements but many of the older individuals tail’s can cross entire islands before curling at the edge of the sands. If disturbed or otherwise excited the Ejderej emits a soft thrumming noise that emanates through its entire tail matched in placement and pulse by a soft bioluminescent blue light just under the scales. Generally this light can only be seen at night as a dull traveling glow but during the Honoring of the Ejderej their tales collectively cast a soft blue tone over the islands of the Giravian Archipelago.
