The full title of the work in question is “My Journey to and about the Kraken’s Lair: An autobiographical recording of one woman’s journey to the southeastern coast”. The book is formatted like a kind of dramatized journal in which the author Sylva Trailheart describes the many observations made and moments encountered during her journey through the Grask Forest and the Southeastern coast. Some call into question the legitimacy of the work thanks to no mention of a traveling band or hired protection for a trip that would undoubtedly see danger at every turn. However, Sylva appears in one of the more reputable journals considered to be Mordechai’s and is spoken of quite favorably as a stimulating traveling companion and “a Zoherian with a surprising head on her shoulders.” No other works have turned up in the many years since the discover of “My Journey to and about the Kraken’s Lair” but some believe it is possible some writing attributed to Mordechai may in fact have been Sylva.
