A long, thin barnacle encrusted blade that looks as though it was fished from the ocean’s depths moments ago. No matter its environment the wicked weapon constantly drips salt water as though sweating. It is believed by the Cult of the Kraken that when its purpose is finally fulfilled, the severing of Hormus Contract with Attovia’s soil, it will gleam a pure, clean black and its impurities will fall away as Graskoroth rises from the depths to reclaim his right to the land. The current use of the Needle is facilitating “safe” Tethers for the ruler of the Cult, The Blade, and the Kraken himself. Without the weapon as a buffer Tethering to Grask ends up reducing individuals to gibbering heaps of flesh that are left to live the rest of their days like some kind of barely sentient Tzedef. Even using it a kind of madness grows in The Blade as they wield the Needle, and many physical manifestations attributed to True Monsters often display themselves after decades of use: Coral, gills and algae like growths being common given enough time.
Ocean’s Poison
Creature’s struck with Grask’s Needle are like to die within several minutes as their blood rapidly transmutes to ocean water. Without the presence of someone capable of advanced Tiken Workings or a Tether to a major benevolent deity survival is all but a lost cause.
